We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse to join our healthcare family. Summit is the busiest Level III Trauma hospital in Tennessee. In this position you will be working in an 18-bed Surgical ICU that primarily cares for general critical patients and post cardiac intervention. There are unlimited growth opportunities with HCA! Apply today for our Critical Care Nurse opportunity. Job Summary and Qualifications The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinate care for patients. The RN is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limited to: assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs. What you will do in this role: Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs. Provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team. What qualifications you will need: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state required Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred BLS required ACLS must be obtained within 3 months of hire Specialty certification preferred 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred ICU experience preferred TriStar Summit is a 234-bed comprehensive facility.
