About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health
to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37207! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS
certification Must-Have: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize
care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of
surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. Description:
Position located in a 34-bed unit with a patient ratio of 6:1. Day
and night shift tech support is available. An unit secretary is
present from 7 AM to 7 PM. Equipment used includes IV pumps,
telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps,
PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners. Documentation is done
using a Meditech system. Schedule consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts
per week, including 2 weekends (4 shifts) every 4-week schedule.
Contract labor staff are the first to float, followed by rotation
when multiple staff are scheduled. Expected to provide attentive
and compassionate care to patients and family members. Bedside
shift reports are conducted to foster personal connections with
patients. Patients and their families are included in their plan of
care. The unit holds certifications for Comprehensive Stroke, Level
II Trauma Center, and is a Certified Chest Pain Center. Staff is
expected to prioritize patient care and demonstrate strong
multitasking skills. No advanced skills are required for this
position. Navy scrubs, both tops and bottoms, are the required
