Job Description:
Ascension, a renowned leader in faith-based healthcare, is
seeking a dedicated Medical Physicist to join our team. This role
is pivotal in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of radiation
therapy and diagnostic imaging. Utilizing cutting-edge technology
and innovative approaches, you will work in a supportive
environment aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing
health standards in the community. The ideal candidate will bring a
profound scientific expertise to optimize treatment planning and
delivery, ensuring all practices adhere to regulatory compliance
and safety. Develop and administer radiological procedures and
therapies safely and effectively. Ensure all radiation treatments
comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with radiologists and oncologists to develop treatment
plans. Perform calibrations on all radiological equipment to ensure
accurate performance. Conduct research to discover new techniques
in radiological treatment and therapy. Support radiology safety
programs by training staff on radiological safety and procedures.
Expertise in radiation safety and radiobiology Proficiency with
radiologic simulation and therapy planning software Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate
effectively with a multi-disciplinary team Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification by the
American Board of Radiology in Radiological Physics or equivalent
State licensure where applicable
