General Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a robust trade base
Distribute and track bid packages
Analyze subcontractor proposals/bids
Assist Purchasing Director, as needed
Review plans for discrepancies and help identify solutions prior to construction
Assist with projected direct cost reporting for future communities
Recommend price changes to management to achieve margins
Ensure product specification change requests are processed
Negotiate to receive best pricing
Other duties and projects as assigned



Qualifications:

Able to maintain data in JDE Enterprise One/JDE
Minimum of one year of purchasing experience in the homebuilding industry
Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Excel
Highly accurate, detail-oriented; strong organizational skills
Able to multi-task, meet deadlines and follow through on projects to completion
Strong communication skills in writing and spoken word
Exemplary record of attendance and punctuality
