Job Description:

White House Utility District is hiring Water Treatment Plant Operators. - This position is responsible for operating a Grade IV Water Treatment Plant in compliance with all District and regulatory standards. Work must produce results that maintain operational functionality and meet compliance mandates without incident. The starting pay for this position is $20/hour. -Wages may be negotiated based on prior experience, applicable certifications and licenses and other credentials.The water treatment plant is operated and staffed 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. - Plant Operators are required to work a 12-hour rotating shift and be available for both day and night shift, including holidays. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively respond to rapidly changing conditions, while maintaining perspective and a strict focus on quality.Some daily responsibilities include:

Monitor SCADA to anticipate and respond to operational eventsPerform all water quality tests on treatment processesProvide after-hours support to customers who are experiencing a water emergencyTo qualify, a candidate must have a high school diploma and valid driver's license. - Candidates must also pass a thorough and extensive background check and pre-employment drug screen. -Training is provided to obtain a TN Grade IV Water Treatment Plant Operator license. - -The District offers a competitive benefits package that includes group health benefits, retirement plan, and tuition assistance. - In addition, the District offers paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.White House Utility District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is a Tennessee Drug Free Workplace participant.Powered by JazzHR
