Sr. Software Development Manager
Overview of Position
As a Sr. Software Development Manager for Clinical Review
Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of
software enhancements to our Risk Adjustment / HEDIS Data Entry and
Medical Record Retrieval software. You will lead a team of
developers utilizing Agile delivery methodologies, guide design and
ensure software quality through DevOps practices.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Drive your team towards timely execution often with competing
Negotiating technical needs vs. new features and be a key
contributor in defining the product roadmap
Own release management for the products you created – your
product ships when the customers are realizing its value
Continue to improve the team’s SDLC processes and plan for the
next thing in the product pipeline
Lead Agile and Sprint activities for development teams in
partnership with project managers
Evangelize solutions and processes to the team
Mentor and motivate direct reports towards their career goals
and actively develop your team’s skillset and put together a deep
bench through proactive conversations, goal settings, and
Hold teams to high standards in writing quality scalable and
supportable code, complete with appropriate unit tests, automated
testing, documentation, and operationalization aspects in a CI/CD
Lead by example and use your technical expertise and perspective
to drive innovation
What are the requirements needed for this position?
6 + years of hands-on software development experience
2+ years of team management experience
Experience as a technical lead for engineering projects and
willingness to proactively volunteer to perform key activities
Demonstrated situations where you mentored junior engineers
within the team to help them grow
Experience in Scrum / Agile development methodologies
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Strong knowledge of the .NET Framework, C#, and associated
Experience with test-driven development, building test plans,
unit tests, and automated testing frameworks
Proficient in C# with experience with tools used in C# software
Experience with RESTful API design
Working knowledge with cloud platform technologies such as AWS,
Azure or Google
CI/CD and DevOps mindset/culture
Experience developing in any of C++, C#, NodeJS, Java,
Experience building on Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with continuous integration
Demonstrated hunger in taking on more responsibilities and
learning new things
Ability to identify, prioritize and execute under competing
Motivated, self-starting, self-guiding
Collaborative with excellent written and verbal communication
