As an RN in our ER, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies. Key Responsibilities: Provides after-hours leadership, functions as a resource person for staff, assists in patient care, and is responsible for overall quality of patient care in the facility. Reports to the Senior or Chief Nursing Officer or Administrator on Call. Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present; involves contact with patients or specimens, including blood, body fluids, and non-intact skin. Physical Requirements: Frequent computer use and repetitive hand/arm movements; occasional standing, walking, sitting, and light patient handling. Exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, and latex. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Qualifications and Requirements: Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an associate or bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing. Required Certifications BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire ACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 months of employment, if not current upon hire.
