Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Step Down Specialty: RN Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, NIH Stroke Scale Certification Must-Have: Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Description: We are seeking qualified nurses for a fast-paced, high-acuity step-down unit. This unit provides care to critically ill patients. We receive patients needing our care from various regions. The unit has a capacity of 14 beds. Patients served in this unit have various diagnoses, including: Chest pain, post-kidney transplant, acute renal failure, congestive heart failure, GI bleed, pneumonia, myocardial infarction, pulmonary disease with or without mechanical ventilation, and thoracic or other surgical procedures in patients with comorbidities. Additionally, we manage patients undergoing drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 3:1. Candidates must hold certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
