Job Description Express Healthcare Staffing of Nashville is seeking a travel nurse RN Neurology for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Neurology - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Med Surg Unit Name: 3rd, Neuro Med/Surg Requirements: Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience Must Have: BLS certification Hospital Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center Requested Skill Set: Med/Surg experience Ability to prioritize care and multitask Start IVs Basic wound care Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 20 Patient Ratios: 6:1 Unit Staffing: Tech support on day and night shifts; unit secretary on shift 7a–7p Equipment Used: IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Requirements: Three 12-hour shifts per week 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule Floating Policy: Contract labor is first to float Rotation used when multiple contract staff are scheduled Patient Experience Expectations: Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and families Participate in bedside shift report Build personal connections with patients and involve families in care planning Dress Code (Required): Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) Express Healthcare Staffing of Nashville Job ID HT25. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
