Job Description:
TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, located in the heart of
Nashville, TN, is seeking highly motivated and compassionate new
graduates or early career registered nurses to join our Operating
Room Nurse Residency Program. In our dedicated program, residents
will gain hands-on experience in the operating room, supported by
expert guidance and a curriculum designed to foster professional
growth in surgical care. Our commitment is to provide a nurturing
environment to ensure the development of competent, confident, and
caring operating room nurses who are prepared to meet and excel in
the challenges of modern healthcare environments. Participate
actively in all training sessions and scheduled rotations. Assist
in various surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and
health regulations. Monitor patient vitals and condition before,
during, and after surgery. Collaborate with surgeons,
anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff to ensure effective
patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and document all
operative procedures. Manage pre and post-operative patient care,
including patient education and recovery monitoring. Strong
clinical skills in a high-pressure environment. Excellent
communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to adapt to new
technology and procedural innovations in healthcare. Critical
thinking and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Must have passed the
NCLEX-RN. Current registered nurse license in the state of
Tennessee or eligible. ACLS and BLS certification desired.
