Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,764 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Active RN license ACLS certification BLS certification ICU experience Description: The unit has 31 beds. Patient ratios are typically 2:1, with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 depending on patient acuity and staffing. During dayshift, a unit secretary is available. An occasional nurse extern may work as a tech. Staff utilizes various equipment, including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Scheduling is done in 4-week increments with opportunities for self-scheduling. A minimum of 4 weekend shifts is required per schedule. The manager may adjust shifts to balance the schedule. Contract labor is expected to float to med/surg if staffing needs arise. Patient experience is prioritized, with a focus on providing attentive and compassionate care. Advanced skills required include the insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions. The required dress code consists of navy scrubs for both tops and bottoms. Unit-specific policies and guidelines are provided for reference.
