At TriStar Centennial Medical Center, we are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable PCU Resource Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Progressive Care Unit. This pivotal role involves utilizing specialized nursing skills and knowledge to care for patients who are stable enough to leave the ICU but still require close monitoring and intensive nursing care. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing complex patient situations and providing expert care in a high-pressure environment. By becoming part of our team, youll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the health and recovery of patients, ensuring high standards of care are maintained within our state-of-the-art facility. Monitor and assess patient health status and needs in the PCU, ensuring timely intervention and treatment. Coordinate patient care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Provide direct care to patients, administering medication, maintaining IVs, and other necessary interventions as prescribed. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and home care preparations. Assist in the implementation and development of health care programs within the PCU. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and the highest standards of care and cleanliness. Expertise in telemetry and critical care nursing Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain calm and efficiency in high-pressure situations Proficient in using medical software and patient management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee BLS certification ACLS certification preferred CCRN certification beneficial but not required
