Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hermitage, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement /n• Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on day shifts, 1:5 to 1:6 on night shifts /n• May float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors as needed /n• Unit utilizes self-scheduling with 4-week schedule periods /n• Work with specialized equipment including BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peritoneal dialysis /n• Assist with wound VACs in conjunction with wound care team /n• Use Meditech documentation system /n• Perform hourly rounding on day shifts, every 2-hour rounding on night shifts /n• Maintain AIDET communication standards and update communication boards /n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS /n• Must have critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, and experience with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips /n• Experience needed with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, multiple oxygen delivery systems, stroke care, and post-cardiac catheterization care /n• Peripheral IV skills required, peritoneal dialysis experience preferred /n• Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes needed /n• Participate in procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, central line dressing changes, and wound VAC troubleshooting /n• Required dress code: black scrubs /n• Work with 3 techs when fully staffed on one unit, 2 techs when fully staffed on the other /n/n Facility: /n This medical center features a progressive care unit with 59 total beds across two units, providing intermediate-level care between intensive care and general medical-surgical units.
