Location: Hermitage, Tennessee Compensation: Details provided to
qualified applicants Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; every
other weekend required; self-scheduling with 4-week schedule blocks
Highlights: Progressive Care Unit with 34-bed and 25-bed units;
patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights Advanced
equipment and procedures including BiPAPs, high-flow oxygen,
Vapotherm, cardiac drips, heparin and insulin drips, peritoneal
dialysis, and wound vacs Meditech electronic medical record system
Comprehensive tech support: 3 techs on the larger unit when fully
staffed, 2 techs on the smaller unit Self-scheduling model with
strong teamwork culture; many travelers extend after their first
assignment Exposure to diverse case mix including stroke care,
post-cardiac catheterization, chest tubes, thoracentesis,
paracentesis, and central line management Requirements: Active
Registered Nurse license BLS and ACLS certifications required
Critical thinking skills and strong EKG rhythm interpretation
Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips
Peripheral IV skills required Experience with BiPAPs, high-flow
oxygen systems, and multiple oxygen delivery methods Stroke care
and post-cardiac catheterization experience Tube feeding and
NG/Dobhoff tube experience preferred Peritoneal dialysis experience
preferred May be required to float between PCU units or to
