Must-Have: Level 2 experience Postpartum experience Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery specialty. The
unit has up to 10 beds with patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:6. A nurse
staffing level includes one nurse and support staff. Type of
equipment utilized includes GE monitors. Documentation is managed
through a specific system. Scheduling requires availability for
three night shifts per week. The floating policy is not applicable
for this position. Patient experience requirements include at least
one year of Level 2 experience. Advanced skills needed include IV
initiation, phototherapy, bubble CPAP maintenance, and tube
feeding. Experience with NAS and preterm babies, as well as NRP
skills for low blood sugar infants, is essential. Procedures
performed on the unit include lumbar punctures, circumcisions, and
medication administration through IV. Assistants will be needed for
various procedures. Required certifications are BLS, ACLS, NRP, and
STABLE. Uniforms are supplied for nurses. The department has an
in-house NNP available 24/7. Additional resources may include
department videos or team awards to attract prospective candidates.
Any new equipment or technology will be disclosed during the
