ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Livingston, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work Monday through Friday shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM • On-call responsibilities required throughout the week and weekend coverage • Must have 2 years recent OR RN experience • Tennessee RN or multi-state RN license required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through American Heart Association) • Must have knowledge of general surgery, orthopedic including total joints, OB, GYN, and endoscopy procedures • OR also covers C-sections • Circulators perform recovery of general surgery patients with ETT as needed before returning to floor or Same Day Surgery • No robotic surgery involved • Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments • Document patient care and monitor patient conditions • Communicate with care team, physicians, patients, and families • Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharge, and referrals • Evaluate learning needs and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, and condition • Advocate for physical and emotional well-being of patients Facility: This regional hospital provides comprehensive surgical services including general surgery, orthopedic procedures, obstetrics, gynecology, and endoscopy.
