Job Description Practice: /n Goodlettsville Animal Hospital is

5-doctor team utilizes multiple exam rooms, a full lab and in-house
pharmacy, digital radiology, ultrasound, and more to provide top
level care to our companion animal patients. We're a busy practice
with a well-established name in the community, and we look forward
to continuing our legacy for years to come! /n/n Position Purpose:
/n We're so sure you'll love our team that we'll put our money
where our mouth is and offer a $50,000 sign-on bonus! Because we
know of a pending retirement at the beginning of 2026, a doctor who
loves surgery and dentistry, in addition to wellness/sick cases
will thrive in our practice! We have a big, bright updated building
that allows you to practice your best medicine. And our
well-trained staff is ready to support you in rooms and surgery,
with inhouse labs, ultrasound and updated diagnostic equipment. An
experienced doctor is preferred to round out our doctor team since
we need your expertise in surgery and dentistry. We typically work
10-hour shifts, so 3 or 4 days per week will work for us and gives
you plenty of free time to enjoy your personal interests! About the
area: Located just 12 miles from downtown Nashville, Goodlettsville
has a little something for everyone including award winning parks
and walking trails, antique shops and specialty boutiques, historic
Mansker's Station, and unique restaurants and eateries. From
Goodlettsville, you're within a days drive of so much to explore!
/n/n Essential Responsibilities: /n - Examine and treat companion
animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as
well as interpret results. - Advise pet owners on preventative care
and treatment options. - Perform surgery and prescribe medication
as needed. - Provide counsel around pet end of life care. -
Maintain patients’ medical records. - Ensures compliance with
veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
/n/n Requirements/Qualifications: /n - DVM/VMD degree from an
accredited AVMA institution. - Appropriate state licensure. -
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. - Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. - Demonstrates professional and courteous
presentation consistently with staff and clients. - Ability to lift
patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift
patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance. /n/n
