- Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) – MS2 & MS3 units
- Contract Length: 13 weeks - Start Date: January 12, 2026 - End
Date: April 13, 2026 - Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night
shifts) - Hours per Week: 36 - Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every
other weekend required - Unit Size: 27 beds per floor - Patient
Ratio: 5:1 - Modern Equipment: Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch
Allen vital sign machines - Documentation: Medhost (transitioning
to Meditech EMR) - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530 - $1640 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN)
license – Tennessee or compact state - BLS certification required -
ACLS certification preferred - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg
nursing experience - Experience with post-operative and orthopedic
patients is a plus - Ability to float between MS2 and MS3
medical-surgical units - Strong communication and teamwork skills -
Dark blue uniform required Med/Surg RN Responsibilities - Provide
high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients -
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EMR systems
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform and assist with clinical procedures including blood
transfusions, IV and central line maintenance - Collaborate with
physicians, medical technicians, and unit secretaries to optimize
patient outcomes - Educate and support patients and their families
throughout the care process - Float between MS2 and MS3 units as
