Job Description HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Hermitage, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds : 630 has 34 beds/ 633 has 25 · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 3 techs when full on 630 and 2 techs when full on 633 · Type of equipment : bipaps, high flow o2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis. Wound vacs in conjunction with wound care · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 12 hour shifts a week · Floating policy: may have to float in between PCU units or float to med-surg floors · Patient Experience requirements: hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor. Dept 633 has tv communication boards. Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must have: Critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred and peripheral iv skills./n/n /n/n /n/nAdvanced skills needed: ACLS. Experience with bipaps, high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems. Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes./n/n /n/n /n/nProcedures performed on unit: Peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes. Trouble shooting wound vacs/n/n /n/n /n/nCertifications Required: BLS, ACLS
