qualified PCU RN in Hermitage, Tennessee, 37076! Pay Information
$1,827 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2
years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Critical thinking skills EKG rhythm interpretation
Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips
Experience with peritoneal dialysis preferred Peripheral IV skills
Experience with bi-paps, high flow oxygen, and multiple oxygen
delivery systems Experience with stroke and post-cardiac
catheterization care Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff
tubes Description: The unit has a total of 59 beds, with a patient
ratio of 1:4 to 1:5 during the day and 1:5 to 1:6 at night. When
the unit is full, there are 3 techs available for support. Common
types of equipment used include bi-paps, high flow oxygen,
vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and various cardiac and insulin drips. The
documentation system used for patient care is Meditech. Every other
weekend commitment is required. There may be a floating policy to
other PCU units or med-surg floors. Hourly rounding is expected on
days, with every 2-hour rounding on nights. Communication boards
must be maintained for patient experience enhancement.
Certifications required are BLS and ACLS. The dress code requires
the wearing of black scrubs. The unit allows for self-scheduling,
with schedules created every four weeks. Techs assist with patient
care, allowing nurses to focus on higher-level needs. Many
travelers choose to extend their contracts after their initial
assignment. The unit promotes a culture of caring and teamwork.
