Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI Must-Have: Experience with critical care gtts, sedation, ESI, and codes. Experience with STEMI, Stroke, Sepsis preferred. Description: This position involves working in an Emergency Department with a total of 39 beds. Patient ratios are 4:1 with surge beds assigned to each section. The unit has a staffing structure that includes a free lead, unit clerk, sitters for behavioral health, paramedics, EMTs, and LPNs. The type of equipment used includes Rapid Infuser and Glidescope. Documentation is conducted using a specific system. Scheduling requires working every other weekend. There is no floating policy in place. The focus for patient experience is on teamwork and personalized care. Advanced skills in handling procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting are needed. All staff are expected to adhere to the unit guidelines and policies. The dress code is charcoal grey scrubs. This position offers an opportunity to work with new equipment and technology in a supportive team environment.
