reimbursement options. The District Manager is responsible for the
overall retail operations within an assigned territory or district,
providing leadership and vision to ensure all aspects of the retail
business are performed as expected and an incredible experience is
created for all associates and customers. We are looking for a
strategic business leader with a demonstrated track record of
success in retail operations and field leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Achieving EBITDA and revenue targets for the district,
inclusive of merchandise retail, lessons, repairs, and rental
areas
- Manage and execute labor initiatives within budget
- Ensure merchandising initiatives are executed within program
designs including (but not limited to):
- GOLD Standard
- GOLD Card
- EHOTH
- Planograms
- Track customer service (OSAT) responses and look for
opportunities to improve
- Work with national Services teams to ensure areas are achieving
targeted goals
- Hire, develop, and train store managers and store manager
candidates. As well, provide guidance and input on all other
positions within retail operations that supports the Guitar Center
Employer of Choice initiative
- P&L management/accountability for a given district
- Resolve any conflicts within the district
- Additional duties as assigned. Successful candidates will have
the following mix of required and desired experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work
experience)
- Valid state driver's license and automotive insurance
- 6 years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or
years of previous experience) operating in a complex, fast-paced
work environment
- 5 years of experience leading teams within a retail store
- Intermediate knowledge of retail/music instrument industry
operations is preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Advanced understanding of Guitar Center retail systems and
