Job Description:
BESS Quality Technician We are looking for a detail-driven BESS
Quality Technician to ensure the performance, safety, and
reliability of our Battery Energy Storage Systems before they leave
the factory. In this role, you will perform inspections, testing,
and documentation throughout the manufacturing and FAT process.
Your work directly supports product safety, customer satisfaction,
and continuous improvement across our operations. Shift: 1st (6am -
4:30pm, Monday - Friday) Key Responsibilities Perform incoming,
in-process, and final inspections on mechanical, electrical, and
software components of BESS units. Conduct electrical tests
including ground bonding, insulation resistance, continuity, and
hi-pot testing. Verify AC/DC power distribution, wiring integrity,
functional performance of devices, and safety/protection loops.
Execute system-level power flow evaluations and functional
verification tests. Document and analyze test results to confirm
compliance with engineering specifications, internal requirements,
and industry standards. Identify, document, and escalate
nonconformances or deviations found during inspections. Collaborate
with engineering, production, and field service teams to
troubleshoot and resolve quality concerns. Confirm that all test
equipment is calibrated, maintained, and suitable for required
measurements. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including
feedback on test methods, quality checks, and build processes.
Maintain accurate inspection logs, test records, and quality
reports. Ensure adherence to internal quality procedures,
regulatory requirements, and standards (UL, IEC, etc.). Assist with
internal and external audits related to product quality and safety.
Provide input on developing test plans, checklists, and procedures
for future product iterations. Train or support other technicians
on quality processes and testing best practices as needed.
Qualifications 2 years of experience in quality control, electrical
testing, or assembly of power systems, BESS equipment, or other
high-voltage systems preferred. Working knowledge of electrical
testing methods including insulation, grounding, hi-pot,
continuity, and power verification. Ability to read and interpret
engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and testing
documentation. Familiarity with standards such as UL 1741, UL 1973,
UL 508, IEC 62933, or related certifications is a plus. Strong
attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting, communication,
and documentation skills. Comfortable working around high-voltage
equipment while following strict safety practices. Skills &
Competencies Solid understanding of electrical testing fundamentals
and quality assurance principles. Practical experience using test
equipment, instrumentation, and data-logging tools. Ability to
perform panel board and wire harness testing. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office and basic data analysis tools. Highly organized,
thorough, and able to communicate findings clearly both verbally
and in writing. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to
stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. during inspections and testing
tasks. Work is performed in a manufacturing or industrial setting
involving high-voltage equipment. Willingness to wear PPE and
follow all required safety protocols at all times.
