Job Summary The Product Engineer is responsible is for all the product design and engineering support for Aladdin's products offered in the healthcare food service industry. Designs and works with a wide variety of material, heating and cooling technologies and manufacturing processes. Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports and helps execute the corporate New Product Development plan as assigned.
• Responsible for the timely completion of major projects which will require leadership and coordination of other departments and plant functions.
• Applies engineering knowledge to generate concepts and completes the product design as well as working with the production department to implement those new or revised product designs.
• Revise existing product designs to increase "ease of manufacturing", reduce product or warranty cost, implement functional improvements, or increased reliability.
• Responsible for specifying and maintaining formal material specifications for all new and existing products. Maintains up to date product drawings and initiates engineering change notices for approval.
• Works with certification and testing agencies on new product development and product updates.
• Utilizes FEA and CFD software to optimize product designs need necessary. Required Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of electrical diagrams and discreet components, proper electrical/wiring practices, and experience in induction technology are all pluses.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Creo/Pro Engineer CAD software, additional use of Windchill PDMLink is preferred.
  • Design and hands on knowledge of sealed system refrigeration is highly preferred.
  • Sheet metal design, assembly welding knowledge, plastic part design experience (injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding, etc.) is preferred. Education and Experience
    • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Product Engineering and or Research & Development.
