Job Description:
Position Summary This is a mid-level student position under the
direct supervision of the University Recreation administrative
staff. Availability: Up to 10 positions effective May 2018. FOAP :
350010-40411-61400-700 Essential Functions - Ability to swim and
teach swim lessons. - Availability to work from May through August.
- Knowledge of facility’s emergency action plan and how to engage
it. - Availability immediately before and after each class to
answer participant questions, respond to concerns, and consider
suggestions. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. - Ability to
communicate effectively and interact with a diverse population. -
Ability to use sound judgment in decision-making. - Ability to
follow APSU guidelines, policies, procedures, and emergency
preparedness. - Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate
manner with diverse populations, the University community, and the
public. - Attendance and punctuality are essential in this
position.
